I'm back, Not that you missed me

I got my Grand Cherokee Overland back in mid December and had all kinds of problems with the air suspension system. Whenever it would snow or rain or even if the streets were wet the front end would jack all the way up and lock there, (front up and rear down, see pics). No suspension travel at all, like riding with solid links between the "A" arms and body. After five months about six trips to the service department totaling about 24 days without my new Jeep, after a "special" tech from Chrysler came in and took a shot at fixing the car, Chrysler decided to give up and replace it (before the Lemon Law lawsuit). I have to thank my dealer for getting the ball rolling on the replacement, they have been great. So one month ago on May 5th I got my new, new Overland. It's just like the first one with the exception of the nav system is now a 730N RHR (having lived with both, the 430N is a better system).

The funny thing is, I picked the new one up on a Thursday and the very next day, while parked at work, it rained; when I went out after work and started the car it went "bing" - "service air suspension" before I could even shift it out of park. I said to myself "you've got to be kidding me", but nothing happened to the new, new Jeep and I have not had any other warnings or issues with the suspension system no mater how wet it gets.

I really like this ride but I have to admit the five months of hell I went through with the first one took away some of the luster. Also, I can say that Chrysler lost a lot of future sales (not just GC sales) due to people seeing my GC jacked up in the front and hearing my story. I know two people who were going to buy Grand Cherokees but changed their minds after seeing mine. That's a shame because it is an awesome vehicle.
