Side Molding Option

Anyone think of removing the side molding for the 05-10 and wrapping with vinyl? i have the fat laredo ones so i m thinking of just removing it and cover the rivet holes and vinyl it across. what do u guys think?

^x2. It may work but idk about the final result. I'll just get the skinny moldings and paint them.

Really? LOL, Id be curious to see what the looks like. You going to at least body fill it and prime/paint it for a nice flat "no trim" look?

I'm going to use the oem mlgs to fashion a sheet metal part that I am going to weld in place then primer and paint. I planned on repainting the truck this summer anyhow so now would be the time for me to do it. I'm also going to either color matching the belt mldgs or paint them gloss black, depending on how I decide to paint the truck. Right now the truck is Stone White and I'm thinking of shooting it pearl white with maybe a black metallic top.

Once I actually find the time to work on my own stuff I'm going to put up a build thread in the Visual Mods section
