Engine Cross Bar question

I am ordering a catch can from Billet Tech and they only have mounts for an SRT8 6.1 They do have a cross bar mount and I was wondering if anyone knew if the crossbar on the 5.7 and the 6.1 were the same?

Just go to the hardware store and get a corner brace for about $1,20, cut to size, drill out the hole, and mount it to the big bolt on the pass side for the cross brace mount, and you are good to go.

The 6" x 6" L-brace at Home Depot (about $2) can be drilled and mounted on the rear bolt of the 5.7L crossbrace on the passenger side. Mount the BT oil catch can on its supplied standoff behind the L-bracket so it sits high enough to be able to access and unscrew it to empty it. Should be just inboard of the PCM.
I needed longer hoses to get it from the PCV valve and to the intake manifold. Also allowed me to keep the beauty cover in place (if I wish). Do a search on this topic for more info.

It's how I did mine. Clean, accessible, and functional. Easy to take it with you if you decide to change Jeeps.......:D

Re: Engine Cross Bar question

Thanks everyone. I have already sent the can back to exchange it for their SRT cross bar mount. I guess I should have researched this before doing that. Does anyone know the difference between the cross bars? Is the 6.1 thicker or something.

If that dosnt work I will go get the L bracket you guys talked about and try to fabricate something myself.
