Center console removal
Hi all good people I have a question I'd like to direct to the Pros. I just bought a 2011 Jeep Wrangler 4 door unlimited 70th anniversary edition. I want to install 2 switches for my CB and CB amp. I already have them both powered, seperately, from the battery. I would like to install the switches right behind the Gear shifter, I have a manual 6 speed. I saw that I can lift up the small liner in the little change pocket. I need to take the top off the center console to do this. Can anyone help me? Thank You in advance.

Re: Center console removal
My advice to you is to get new trans and t case shifter knobs because if you are able to get them off you will destroy them. And thats if you can get them off. once the knobs are off,the front part of the console just lifts off,the bottom has 4 screws in the sides. The special tool for pulling those knobs is a slide hammer.

Re: Center console removal
Thanks for the reply dude. I was able to lift the upper half of the console enough without having to take off the knobs to install both switches. Thanks for the help. I posted a couple times here and get no response. Do people really read these?

I read it. It seems like this is more of a Grand Cherokee site. The Wrangler threads seem a little slow
