What alignment problems when lowered?
I noticed that some are fitting aftermarket upper A arms. I take it is to adjust the alignment beyond what is available using the slotted holes in the lower arm mounts? So is pushing the lower arms inwards all the way not enough to correct the camber? I am guessing that the A arm effectively gets closer to the coil once lowered springs are fitted so you would need to move the lower A arms in as well to keep the same camber? I am presuming that the aftermarket arms are a bit longer then?
Or is it just to decrease the upper ball joint angle and have replaceable ones?

Re: What alignment problems when lowered?
Lowering will increase negative camber. On SRT8 Jeeps, the runflat RSAs were already prone to inner tire wear problems with the stock camber settings. Lowering makes it worse because the factory adjustability is maxed out. We have found on the red site that decreasing negative camber to -0.25 degree will keep the runflats happy, but to do that on a lowered SRT8 will require the Jeepin by Al control arms, which kick the spindle outboard AND corrects the geometry of the ball joint. I have the prototype on my rig and its been working great!

Re: What alignment problems when lowered?
i have the a-arms on my wk. I have srt8 eibachs BUT wk bilsteins.

just the way the ball joint looks is MUCH better.

rear = srt8 eibachs and srt8 qa1 adjustable shocks.

my alignment came right into specs.

Re: What alignment problems when lowered?
Well I change out the lowered and standard springs in mine so often that I don't bother with an alignment each time.
In fact, my Jeep has never even required an alignment, and yes, it's been on a machine to check!

I've done 60,000klm on my set of 22" tyres GoJeep, and they've got around 10k to go......

Re: What alignment problems when lowered?
I was lucky enough that my alignment wasnt that far off with my eibachs..

It took some adjusting but nothing out of the ordanary..

Re: What alignment problems when lowered?
Great information there. As I am welding in the upper wishbone and coil towers from scratch, I thought it would be worth while to know what to shoot for when setting it all up. If set it up at ride height with the angle gauge verticle on the hub and at 90*, I should have the bottom A arms in the middle of their range or even all the way out in case I go lower later on.

Re: What alignment problems when lowered?
When you lower it just drive on it for about 500-750 miles then get an alignment.
