Deleting old text SMS messages

I have the 430N radio it work fine except I do not know how to delete old received text messages from the system. I have deleted them from the phone but they are still on the 430N.

Thanks.

Ok...I believe the majority of will want to know, how did you ever get SMS to work on the 430N? It doesn't work on mind and I believe you are the 1st that I know of with a problem that many of us would want.

I am using a Droid Pro and when I first paired it up it just worked. When I receive a text it is announced by the radio with who it is from and the time. It works great. I am thinking it has more to do with the phone then anything else.

It's the phone. There are very few that actually will send and receive texts. The 730N RHR lists 0 phones that work.
There is a full compatability list of phones and radios at the Jeep.com website under the "for owners" tab.

i'm almost positive that the test message feature doesn't work with my 430N and blackberry. Then again, I get so few texts. Does yours work with email?

No, just text messages.

Anyone know if the 730 will have a software upgrade for text messages?

I think the 430 and both 730's have the capability. It's phone specific and very few phones have the capability.
Check out this site.
https://www.jeep.com/hostb/crossbran...raft_REV_C.pdf

It's the last column in the blue section.

Ah! You may be right. I was interpreting the empty column as a unit having the capability but no existing phones because the 430 lists a few phones that work and the 730 RER doesn't seem to have a column for the option.
I assumed an empty column meant option available no compatible phone. Now not so sure.
