Heated Seats

How warm do your heated seats get(If you have them)? I can barley feel any heat coming from mine, both driver and passenger. I have yet to test the backseats.

the 2nd (high) setting seems to give off a similar amount of heat as other cars i've had.

The high setting is quite warm and the low is just right said Goldilocks!
Seriously, it is easier to test in the winter.

My wife, who is much more sensitive then me, gives then 4 out of 5 stars. Only the seats on her old VW rated a 5 star. Even the Volvo only rated 3 stars.

They work just fine compared to a couple of other vehicles that I have used them with. Up here in Canada you don't need winter for the heated seats. Man does the weather ever suck up here!

On high, my seat gets as hot as a heating pad. Which, after a day of hiking, feels really good to my aching back.

Re: Heated Seats

I just got an Overland myself. Here is the boiling hot south, my cooling seats don't seem to be doing much. Can hear the fan, and once in a while feel a slight cooling, but that is about it. Not expecting a breeze just thought I would feel a little more than that.

Have an appt. Friday for a couple of things and will add that to the list.

As for the heated seats I hope they are close to the VW that was replaced. I have to admit the were times they were too hot.

It helps that there are high and low settings.

Re: Heated Seats

True, but you had to actually turn them off on trips of an hour or more. The low setting was rather toasty. Dealer tested them multiple times and stated they were within spec.

Re: Heated Seats

When it's really hot you don't feel the ventilation unless you are sweating and it evaporates the moisture. What you will notice is over time when it's hot outside you don't get any heat or sweat buildup between you and the seat. I've wondered if it's working a couple times when wearing jeans but switch to shorts, especially light weight clothing and you should feel it.
