That is correct, the 430 does not have GPS. The 430N does. (The 'N' stands for Navigation.)

You cannot add navigation to the 430. I think you can remove the 430 and install a 430N, but it is very expensive. A cheaper alternative is to buy a separate GPS like the Garmin Nuvi.

Andrew,

Replace the radio, you just put the other or should I add more accessories?

I will consider the option that you recommend will be more economical.

Mauricio

I think you take out the one and put in the other, but I have not done this and I could be wrong. Has anybody done this?

You need a GPS antenna for that 430 N too, which normally is under the dash. You may have to have the dealer change the computer to enable all the 430N features

Stand alone GPS would be a lot easier and much less money. Proclipusa offers a nice mount that clips on the dash air vent where you could attach a Garmin Nuvi or other stand alone GPS.

I did exactly this. It was a one for one swap, no dealer programming required. I bought the GPS antennae but their was no place to plug it I . The GPS was either already installed or the 430N has an integrated antenna.

The Sirius antenna is the nav antenna. Its not internal to the radio. I have added nav to several Jeeps and the antenna is supposed to be changed for one that does nav,but every one I have done worked fine with the factory antenna

Just saying that the parts book shows the GPS antenna for 2011s separate and tucked up under the dash on some models. The Sirius and broadcast antennas are on the roof.

You are right,The parts catalog does show a seperate antenna, but I can tell you for sure,it's not seperate. There are only 2 antennas - 1 for AM/FM, and 1 for Sirius/nav.
