Centerpiece for wheel

I have a 2011 JGC Overland with 20 inch wheels. I just noticed that the centerpiece of one of my wheels is missing ( the chrome one with the JEEP name on). Possibly, it just fell off on a recent trip? Can I purchase on of these from JEEP parts? Do they just clip on the wheel or do they need to be glued on? Thanks! Would it be covered by warranty?

I doubt it would be covered by a warranty. I searched "center" on Justforjeeps.com, there are 62 items. Maybe it is one of these.

You could pick one up on Ebay.

Before you spring the cheddar for a new center cap, I'd call the dealer to ask about it being covered in warranty. My rationale is that - as long as you didn't scrub a curb (which would leave a scrape mark on the wheel and tire) - then this SHOULD be covered by warranty.

OEM wheel suppliers and trim suppliers have to go through a lot of testing to make sure that this cap will stay installed in the wheel during an "impact" test.

Re: Centerpiece for wheel

The so called center caps are available from dealers, I picked up four for about $6 each for my spare wheels. The same center caps are used on both the 18 and 20 inch wheels, I dunno about the 17s. They snap into place, just press the new ones in.

The dealer should just give you one, part of his good will. If you've had the car less than a few months, should easily be covered under warranty. They are not suppose to fall off, but have been known to be stolen... or more often one of the tabs crack when they are installed roughly, and eventually the cap just falls out.

Good place to order from if dealer doesn't replace it.

I installed mine myself. I can't see one just falling off, you really have to press them in. So, either the dealer did not push it in all the way, or it was removed my someone.

Dealer should replace it free of charge...
