Navigation Volume control

I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with the 430n Audio system. I would like to increase the volume of the navigation promps or operate the Navigation with no other sound from Radio,CD or other inputs. Is this possible? It is too late to try and adjust volume one the Navigation promps begin and I don't want to listen to the radio at a volume that I can hear the Nav. promps clearly.

The problem with that is you don't know when the prompts are coming. Can you operate the Nav. as a stand alone unit?

What I do is select CD when there's no CD loaded. All I hear are navigation cues.
