My intake mockup...

1 Attachment(s)
So I am a beliver that the factory intake brings in the coldest air to the engine. I added a K&N filter, removed the cover on the air inlet behind the grille and using a modified K&N 63 series plenum I made and Airaid JR style tube from the TB to intake box cover. I still need to get 2 new silicone couplers and finish painting the plenum and box lid plum crazy purple. Also painting the strut bar and fuse box lids. For now it looks like ass but it worked out just the way I wanted it to.

If my pics didn't come up right I will post them when I get to my computer.

Thanks. Once its all painted it will look sweet.

BTW thanks to Robpp for the hookup on the intake plenum. That's old gray ghost goods right there.

any noticeable improvements on before/after? i have the afe stage 2 kit and upon scottina's recommendations im considering running it straight to my TB. Right now i dont really notice much difference with just that AFE kit from stock, only a slight noticeable difference in sound

It idles nicer and feels peppier but it does not have that cai rhomp. I think that's due to the panel filter vs a cone filter. I eventually want to mount a cone in the box. Either that or get the K&N apollo system.
