05 GC Laredo chrome bumper trim

I recently purchased the chrome bumper trim for a 05 GC limited and was told it would fit a 05 GC laredo with modifications. Has anyone done this mod before, looks like i would have to cut off some of the tabs and use DS 3m tape but i thought i would ask before i start chopping the thing up. Also the ridges on the bottom of the chrome moulding are narrower than the ridges on the bumper. Pic of chrome trim should be displayed below. Thanks.

you dont need tape, just cut holes in the bumper with a dremel. they are already marked on the back of your bumper

Thanks for the info, will i need to cut holes or slots as the tabs on the chrome trim are flat and wide. Is there any way around this without using my dremel tool, Just in case i change my mind at a later date.

they are slots and cut really easy, i have one on my jeep. i dont think 3m tape would work well enough. i think cutting is really the only option.

Now thinking about it 3m tape may be a bit of a hassle with the extra width of the tape. I could always paint it black if i get bored with the look. There are around 14 tabs on this piece of trim, i did not check the inside of the bumper yet to see the markings for the slots to be cut, did you remove the bumper when you added yours? The pic looks great but you have the 08 and newer bumper and trim which is different to 05-07. Sorry for all the questions just want to make sure, thanks.

i had the 06 bumper first, i upgraded my front end to 08-10. once you get to the reverse of the bumper you will see the marking i am talking about. i cut mine a lil smaller than shown so it would fit very snug.

I could not see any markings on the inside of the bumper that would be relavent to the slots.

I chose to remove all the tabs with my dremel tool, which was a good thing because the trim does not fit properly the place it fits over is to thick for it to seat correctly and therfore the corners leave about 1/4" gap. As far as i know there are only two version of this trim 05-07 and 08-10.
