4.7L Catalytic Converter replaced

I just wanted to post what catalytic converter has worked on my 06 4.7L wk.
I first tried to replace my cat with a magnaflow 49956 however, it resulted in a P0430 code within a month of driving.
I now have a magnaflow 99106HM installed and it seems to work fine. I installed it about 3-4 months ago and no codes. I paid $70 for it online. Hope this helps anyone who has to change theirs and doesnt want to pay for $1000+ for an oem replacement.

did you notice any change in your gas mileage and throttle response after you replaced them?

its time to replace mine, just took it to the dealer today to have the pcm re-flashed for a tsb on the P0430 and P0420 codes and sure enough they came back. Did you have them welded on and how much did you pay? I just want to get a price to make sure im not paying to much to have mine installed when I get them. Thanks for your help.

I was wondering if the same converter would work for my 2005 3,7L Laredo.
Any idea?

$0:D...I welded it on myself. I would look for someone to do it for $40-$50. That is just a rough guess though

Hmm... My opinion would be to use a cat with the same dimensions as the one i used but not heavy loaded. I would think that Magnaflows 91006 would work. I think if you used the heavy loaded cat it may result in restricting your exhaust flow a little to much. Again this is just a guess maybe someone on here can better inform you.
