Question About My 2012 Build Sheet

I just placed an order on a 2012 Overland and received the build sheet from the dealer. I was told that I would get at least $1000 off of the invoice price, but I'm not sure what the invoice price is? I see two itemized price breakdowns which total:

MSRP $42,290 and FWP $39,789 (I'm guessing this is the invoice price?)

But I also see these numbers:

HB: 1,244
FFP:39,391
EP: 37,875

No idea what these are?

Side note: the sales manager informed me today that it looks like I'll get delivery in 4 weeks or so. This seems early from what I've been hearing, but I'll be stoked if it gets here in August!

HB is Hold Back
FFP is Friends & Family Pricing
EP is Employee Pricing
FWP is Factory Wholesale Price (aka Invoice)

So if the dealer sells it fo 1k under invoice then the dealer is only making $244?

Keep in mind they make money off the financing and your trade in if you have one. They will still net probably $1-2k when its all said and done.

NO, they make the $244 from invoice and the $1244 holdback at a minimum. There are also advertising contributions and various internal sales incentives you'll never know about.

Still, it's a pittance only making $1488 on a $40,000 sale and out of that they need to pay the salesman, finance manager, sales manager, .......
