What if you pulled into a rest area...

and decided to fold down your back seat and go to sleep in the back of your GC. :sleepy: With your key fob inside the car and the doors locked, could someone just walk up to the vehicle, place their hand on the door handle and unlock the doors?

From what I have read on other posts, the answer might be "No". On the other hand, get a friend and try it and report back!

The answer is no. The sensors can detect whether the fob is inside the car or outside. Try locking your keys in. The door locks won't lock. I trust it 99.9% ;-)

The doors should stay locked otherwise it would defeat the safety purpose of having auto lock doors even while driving.

I think it will still lock with the key inside if the door lock was activated from inside using door panel switch and closed after stepping out. :(

Another example would be if you were sitting at a stop light and someone ran up to the car and tried to carjack you by opening the door. I would think the Jeep safety design people certainly would have thought of this scenario and prevented the door from unlocking if the key fob is inside the vehicle. Hopefully this is the case.

I do have a very pretty mouth. :rolllol:
