Customer thoughts on price poll.

Since Ralph Gilles and friends really want to keep the "Community and Enthusiast" aspects of the SRT Brand, I thought a poll to point them in the direction of the current feelings of both Old Wk1SRT8 owners, pending New SRT8 owners and as well as "Wish I could" owners. What is your opinion of the Base Price MSRP of $55,295?

Are you still Happily in Love:drool::ftmfw:. Your either on the preorder list and have no finger nails left, or you are on your way to the dealer to get one yourself?

Happy  but think they could have done better with the price point. (You might consider one down the road, but it's not something you Got to have now.)

Neutral. :poke: You think it's accurately priced, it's got a lot to offer, but nothing to make you go out and get one now or in the future.

Slightly Mad   Your pissed at Jeep and SRT for the increase. You were on the fence of ordering or something you would consider in the future, but not now. just not something your willing to pay
MAD AS HELL :nutkick::madder: . The emoticons say it all. A major kick in the balls and a big FU to you as a Car and Jeep Brand enthusiast.

Yes. Sorry I took so long. :slapfight:
The 100 Character limit was killing me on the last option can we upgrade that? LOL...

I'm mad but I can't blame them. They are trying to dig themselves out of a nasty hole and owe a lot of people money and need to rebuild their company. I just can't blame them for that. Other corporations are FAR more greedy (and I won't mention names) and millions still support them like the sheep they are!

Solid point, I think overall the LEAPS AND BOUNDS Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep have made in the past year is amazing! The new vehicles are all HUGE steps ahead. Compared to the competition they are equal or better in my mind and competitively priced. Sure people will cry about the new Jeep SRT8s price point, but beyond that the other SRTs are huge bang for buck and also carry the old school feel with new school technology and performance! Their the real deal. Im a car guy an appreciate any piece of automotive awesomeness and I do think the Mustang is nice and the Vettes are always sweet but Chrysler and Dodge have jumped to new levels for 2012 and are making those guys KEEP UP :)

The Jeeps are all nice too in reality but appeal to a different market obviously. They still carry that legendary Jeep off-road performance which is #1 in their priority list if you ask me. Not only that but they have beautiful interiors and exteriors at very solid prices. They're not bottom of the line entry level but they're no LR, Benz or BMW tier cars and will match them in almost every functional aspect of having a car.

I think as far as capability and reliability they are unmatched (not by a lot but still unmatched) and priced well below the competition. But their are many factors even to that. As far as driving skill and maintenance habits that will determine the ability of the car. Good driver can go anywhere with them and taken care of properly they'll last forever :) Only thing lacking is their maintenance/service programs as the other guys offer top notch service for sure and possibly little interior/exterior features but those only add up to some much. Im not willing to pay $30k more for a fancier interior with more gizmos and some LEDs outside, thats not what a car is about!

So yeah, I'd MUCH rather save myself $30-$40k and drive a Jeep then not have to worry about oil changes and small dealer service items. Sure if something major came up Id rather be in a BMW or LR but at the end of the day you shouldn't buy a car on small odds like (what are chances it may have an engine failure or transmission failure?) Thats plain silly but people do it! I think Jeeps are the heart and soul of the middle class SUV world and beyond that they look and perform awesome. Thats enough to get me in one. But others with more $ will buy a BMW or Benz just for the badge on the front. Thats how people buy! ITs a psychological game and if it wasn't then people would ONLY buy Jeeps cause thats true value for $ :)

Just to be clear. I chose to order without knowing the final pricing, so there is only one person to blame for that.

I wouldn't have guessed that the MSRP would be around 55K. If it is in that price range I'll have to consider other options. I think Chrysler is going to have softer sales in that range.

I also wish the reviews were better...

Hopefully someone is reconsidering MSRP or a much lower invoice price.

I hope Chrysler checks this poll. It's free market research...This stuff is gold and they should take heed to it.
