What duration is the powertrain warranty?

I can't find any info on the Jeep SRT8 powertrain warranty duration. Anyone see something in writing?

Re: What duration is the powertrain warranty?

should be 3/36 like others unless they run some sort of special during production

Not sure about the SRT, but

2011 Grand Cherokee:

WARRANTY
Corrosion perforation warranty: 60 months/100,000miles
Basic warranty: 36 months/36,000miles
Roadside assistance coverage: 36 months/36,000miles
Powertrain warranty: 60 months/100,000miles

I'm guessing the same. Can you even get the lifetime on SRTs?

When I bought my 09 SRT the guy at the dealership kept telling me its a lifetime warranty blah blah blah... Come to find out its only 3yr/36K and I was the one to correct him. How come all the dealers have absolutely no fricken clue how to answer anything about the SRT8's?

It's not just SRT8s, and it's not just Chrysler dealers. They're ALL morons. Well maybe all but 1%...

Don't you think just rasing the price 30% will solve all those issues?:D

Re: What duration is the powertrain warranty?

The SRT models do not have the same 60/100 warranty as other Chrysler products and is not eligible for the expended 7 year warranty.

"SRT vehicles, Sprinter vehicles, diesel equipped vehicles, all Ram Cab/Chassis vehicles, rental vehicles and government vehicles are not covered. Vehicles used as a police vehicle, taxi, limousine, postal delivery vehicle, or ambulance are not covered by the Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty."

Re: What duration is the powertrain warranty?

Your quote is specific to the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty, not the 60/100 warranty.

From Dodge's warranty page on the SRT8 Challenger. (Notice the picture)

http://www.dodge.com/en/2011/challen...ance/warranty/

"Limited Warranties
We’re so confident in the quality of our vehicles, we’re backing them with a 5-year / 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty[1].

The powertrain limited warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair a covered powertrain component - engine, transmission and drive system - on most new Dodge vehicles.

Coverage now also includes free towing to the nearest Dodge dealer, if necessary.

The warranty is transferable too, so if you sell your vehicle during the warranty period, the new owner will still be covered.

Plus, our 3-year / 36,000-mile Basic Limited Warranty[2] provides bumper-to-bumper coverage for your vehicle, from the body to the electrical system."
