Black Grille

So I'm starting the process of blacking out my jeep. First thing I want to do is get the grille done. Can you buy these aftermarket in a gloss finish like the rest of the car? Or do people pull them off and spray them themselves?

Any help is appreciated!!

By the way, this is on an 06 Overland

yep. check justforjeeps or rockauto.com for the grill. I've seen some people DIY but ill buy one already painted or give it to a shop.

Go for it. Made my Jeep look 1000 times better. Get the SRT8 one though...

I thought about it but it costs so much!

I'm going to stop by the body shop tomorrow to see what it would cost to paint it.

Agreed... But it will probably still be fairly expensive for quality work... But give it a shot.

I did mine with a $4 spraypaint can. Still looks great long after.

trying to paint over chrome?
had a auto body shop say they wouldnt do it cause its not guaranteed to stay and could start to peel..

that being said i painted my 300's grill with spray paint, just use an adhesive promoter and clear coat..

I just bought a color-matched Light Khaki Grille off eBay for $70 in perfect condition. I offered the guy. It was originally $120. He took my offer. Or you can try any of the sites above^^^^.

It's the Overland grill so it isn't Chrome, its the silver one.

I may give it a shot painting it myself. If I mess up then oh well, only costs a couple dollars!

Found one on Ebay for $120. Seems to be the best so far.

Heading outside now to try the paint so hopefully it works!
