auto window up - TOO SENSITIVE

ive seen threads on this before but i thought i would re visit the issue... i have an '06 WK... when i auto roll up the windows sometimes when they come to the top they roll back down half way automatically :mad: its really really frustrating... people have said its a computer issue and some have even changed their window motors, but i havent seen anyone actually find a good solid fix for this.

anyone have similar issues that have been RESOLVED

Do you have two layers of window tint? If so, you might want to consider stripping it and readding only one layer. If you currently only have one layer, then maybe you could talk to window tinters and see if there's a thinner tint that could be applied to help resolve your issue.... assuming you have any tint at all.

It does it on mine too, and i have no tints on the front (cops are psycho here about tinting)... i have no fix but i just figured id let you know your not alone. sometimes my passenger one wont even role up automatically unless i restart the car. i just sort of deal with it and click the button twice when it happens

I recall reading about this. There is a way to set the sensitivity of the the switch, just need to find the thread.

Have a read here

There is TSB for this:
TSB 23-001-08A http://wkjeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk_2300108a.pdf

If you can't reprogram the window modules then you need to replace both front window regulators and modules. I'm hoping that I can get this done on my 30,000 mile service under my extended warranty.

i wonder how much the dealer would charge to fix this with the TSB
its rather annoying to me lol

do they charge to fix this, cause last time i needed the dumb star scan, i had to fight the dealer just to get it down to $50, and im not payin that much when its something jeep screwed up in the first place.

They're going to charge you parts and labor just like they would to fix anything else. There is no discount for problems that have a TSB vs. those that don't.
