2010 Liberty spacer ?

I currently have a 2010 liberty and am getting the day-star 2 inch lift installed on Tuesday. I want to run 265/75/16 and am planning on running stock wheels. I'm just wondering if i will need a spacer or not with those tires. If so what are the best out there? also it is a 2wd Thanks

With 265 (10.5'') I am almost sure you will need spacers, the best out there is Spidertrax. Make sure they are wheel and hub centric.

Wish I could help you out more but I am not familiar with the Liberty. Try asking Marlin over at JeepinByAl.com, He has much knowledge on the Liberties.

DONT BUY CHEAP EBAY SPACERS. Even the best known name brands have failed before.

Ive use them with out issues for years at a time but there are plenty of people that will fight against the use of spacers till their faces turn blue.

But a good brand like spidertrax, Properly torque all spacer lugs and use blue lock tight on them. Re check the torque on all spacer lugs after 50 miles and 500 miles. I know its a pain but the can loosen. do the same check for the wheel lug nuts. Do NOT use lock tight on the regular wheel lug nut studs. check torque at 50 an 500 miles.

Be warned, many tire shops WILL NOT install or service a vehicle with spacers. I was turn away from service many times with my old cherokee with 5" lift and 35" tires and 1.5" spacers.

I believe the torque for jeep lugs is 115 ft lbs but it might be different for newer libertys.

I have had my ebay spacers on for 3 years with much wheeling and towing, Never had one fail or heard of anyone. These are myths to me since no one can prove the fail spacer stories that go around. But do torque them every 6 k miles or so for the first couple of weeks then a few months after.

No myth my friend. Failed spidertrax. I also had them for 3 years... Then one cracked... and sheared the studs

Well this pic doesn't make me want to use them at all. If it wasn't for me hating not having bigger tires i wouldn't. Has anyone been able to prove that they brake more with excessive driving or off road use? I will be doing both with mine. I drive 100 or so miles a day and go off road when ever possible.

I'm sure mine was a rare thing and it was really cold that night. I don't trust them anymore, but if you asked me the same question a year ago I would have said the same thing as Acid.

I think im going to wait on the tires till I can get new wheels. Don't want to be on a road trip and have that happen with the kids in the car. What kind of damage did it do if anything?

No, I don't have a receipt for them. I was more focused on getting my Jeep fixed.

Broke my side skirt that was custom painted, broke the little plastic piece in the rear fender, gouged the inside of my stock wheel badly. The way my wheel wedged under my Jeep saved it from a lot more damage, I was lucky. If it didn't wedge in there i'm sure there would have been brake damage, it would have ripped my rear bumper off. Possible rear axle damage if not more stuff.

I also had to sit in the cold for 3 hours with my Jeep turned off in -40C weather because the wheel that jammed under the jeep was pressed right up against the exhaust.

The whole ordeal was pretty expensive and unexpected.
