It seems as though the comparisons at the end may have been more favorable if the 2012 SRT8 pricing were less ambitious.

How's it going Hef? Haven't seen you on the board in a while. Cheers.

I've been here, just not posting much. A long illness has kept me from purchasing a new Jeep, so I'm still hovering!

The pictures they use plus the price is misleading, they show pictures of a 2012 SRT8 Jeep with some apparent options like the forward crash sensor and next picture without it, then engine shot with red paint but obviously they are driving a silver one, sun roof, no sun roof. They either stole some pictures or test drove different options SRT's but it's articles like this with pictures provided make everything more confusing plus makes me not trust a word of what they say.

Re: Winding Road SRT Review

why wouldnt they compare it to the x5M its sort of unfair to compare the srt8 to a x5 which is more designed to be a daily driver unlike the M which would be more in the league with the srt.

Umm, because the X5 M will set you back 100 grand out the door. For that $$ you get a large vehicle that damn near defeats the laws of physics :) Not disrespecting the SRT, but it doesn't play in that neighborhood.

Re: Winding Road SRT Review

i agree but the x5 also doesnt play in that neighborhood, its more with the wk2 than the srt8. i agree that the m is a huge powerhouse and really isnt in the league with the srt therefore dont compare the bmw to it at all or use the x6 in the comparison
