Lift/Tire question

I've been thinking about putting a lift on my WK with some bigger tires. Problem is, most of my driving during the week is on the highway. How bad will the fuel economy, noise, ride quality, etc.. change? I'm looking at a 3.5" lift

Thanks!

Re: Lift/Tire question

Its been 1 mpg lower for me on average with the Rock Krawler "3.5" inch lift in a 4.7 V8.
I am about half/half city and highway driving during the week.

I put on Bilsteins shocks so my ride quality may be different but it seems same or better than stock for me. My duratrac tires make a lot more noise but I knew that going in the lift by itself didn't seem to make a noise difference.

Re: Lift/Tire question

1 or 2 mpg decrease.

Ride quality depends on which kit you use.

The OME MD/ML kit has a ride quality that's 10x better than stock.

Noise.....? Depends on the tires. Personally, I like a little hum on the pavement. I chose BFG KM1 because you can get 80,000 miles out of them.

Re: Lift/Tire question

Also, the OME kit gave me 3.5" up front and 2.5 in the rear. 1" spacers for the rear are being installed soon.

Re: Lift/Tire question

I'm starting to lean a little more towards the RC 2" kit with some bigger tires. Mostly because its friendly on the wallet :D

Thanks for the help! I'm going to look into what you mentioned

Snagged a 3.5" RK X-Factor kit!

Next up is new tires! I'd like to go with 255/70/17, do those need a spacer?
