custom rebadging my WK
things are in paint, the wheels are in motion. Soon I will have transformed my jeep again.

Sorry no pics, I have none to share yet.

Now, I will try to paint a mental picture of what I am doing and what has been done.

I currently have a 2005 limited wk 4.7 that has a saguaro front bumper and a damaged rear bumper. I am switching to the 08+ front bumper w/ome hids painted to color match. I purchased ijeeps wh rear bumper, it was heavily damaged in shipping and is costing me close to $700 to repair with paint. I already have the wh rear tails and have changed all the limited fake wood to the overland real wood with a overland wood steering wheel. So I feel that my limited is no longer a limited, but something of a special edition of sorts.

I am also having other paint work done that will require the badges to be removed from the rear and my paint shop is telling me that if I want it rebadged to stock I need to buy new badges to insure a perfect match, they did say that they could reuse the current but it would not be perfect.

So, this leads me to my ideas. many of you have rebadged your current jeep with srt design badges. I know that I will be going with stick on flat badges (stickers, easier to wax over plus I don't want 3D badges).

If someone that knows how to make a poll I would be greatfull, the choices would be
1. leave it with its oem limited badging
2. make it a artic edition (in reference to the artic desert, a poke at the sahara, in the sahara you would want the top off, artic you don't want any cold air getting in)
3. Make it a Alpine edition (U.S. used to have Rocky mtn edition, being as I have used wh parts this would be and homage to their big mtn range)
4. Other and make a suggestion

Hmmmm, I'm not really a fan of any form of aftermarket badging. But it's your Jeep bro :)

Re: custom rebadging my WK
ok, the rebadging will be subtle. where the overland badge is I would put this (below) there and no longer have the limited 3D lettering. If I decide to do this I will have Nate get me a quote, he is a vendor here, I would go with carbon fibre background like he has done with the srt8 badges he has made.

then on the side rail after the grand cherokee lettering:

I have been told that the overland from 05-07 is real wood, I believe it is a veneer(sp?). look at the price difference between the early wk/xk climate control surround for an 05 compared to an 08.

Here are some pics from some time ago:

the power window switch is not real wood, but the other two are:
