Advice on ordering a base model Laredo E 4x2

I've been in touch with my local dealer for a couple of weeks now regarding ordering a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo E 4x2 from the factory. About 10 days ago they said they had the pricing in and said the invoice was $28,451. At that time this matched the pricing listed here: http://www.wk2jeeps.com/wk2_2012_features.htm

I've been thinking it over and finally decided that I want to go ahead and do it. However I just noticed that the invoice pricing has been updated to $26,615 + $825 = $27,440. And that is only $380 different from MSRP? When I talked to them today about getting things finalized and coming in tomorrow to do paperwork, they didn't mention anything about a price change.

Can anyone give me some advice about how to approach the situation? Should I expect to pay lower than the invoice since the MSRP is so close? Maybe I should just hold off completely until the prices stabilize?

Thanks in advance!

Just be straight up about it. I wouldnt hesitate at all when confronting them

Gotta remember, your in control when buying a car. They won't make their money unless you spend it.

Jeep recently set a lower price for the Laredo, $26,995 ($26,615) plus destination. This is the finalized price for the beginning of the model year.

BUT, when ordering the Laredo E you are forced to order the "Laredo E Group" package, which is $2,000 MSRP. This brings the MSRP with destination to $29,820 and the invoice price to $28,451, which is what you were quoted.

Laredo E Group (AAE) $2,000 / $1,011

Oh wow that makes perfect sense. haha Thank you very much. I hope that I can order it without that package, and just the roof rails. I really like the way they look on the vehicle.

There's a sales code for the "more info" phone number?
