Which mod is more beneficial?

OK, so the next upgrade for me is likely going to be performance-related. I need a hand deciding which one I should do first. Should I do a ported TB, or a Magnaflow muffler and why? I'd look to go with the biggest muffler I could get...probably this one:

It's a 4.7L HO, current mods listed below.

Your title is different from your poll?

Personally I'd do the muffler for the sweet noise, although I voted the TB as that would be more beneficial with the CAI.

If it was a 3" cat back or something the muffler no doubt but just the box I can't see that doing much to performance (could be wrong) but will make it sound faster probably! :D

I think you should do MartyP's sig :P :D But, if that's not an option, I'd go muffler(exhaust).

I would totally do MartyP's sig...wrapped of course...but I'd still hit it.

05WK, nah...Flows are louder (at least I think so) than I want to be, and I don't believe they are available in stainless. I definitely need a stainless one with the salt they spread here in the winters.

Aaron, what do you mean? I'd have to pay something to get one milled out...I've got a pretty nice tool collection in the garage, but nothing like that!

Flowmaster recommends the 50 series for your engine, which is quiet yet deep. Nice rumble. Go the website for sound clips of youtube your engine

I saw more gains with TB work than I ever did with exhaust work. Not to say I didn't see gains with exhaust. Part throttle driving is night and day different.

If you're just doing a muffler upgrade...TB no question. And I realize that everyone will think I am biased, but see for yourself...I have 2 4.7 cores available.

Oh Yeah!

Anything to make it breath easier is worth while!

Which one removes the greatest restriction?

TB will give you better throttle response, exhaust will help the air get out better.

You can pick up a honing tool, if you want to give it a go. I've had one sitting around for a while and I also have the polishing equipment too. If you don't have the tools available it's probably cheaper to pay a shop to do it.
