Now you hear it now you don't. (or see it)
It's a small thing but I've spent a lot of time creating a really good selection of tunes on my iPod. Anyway, a week or so back, getting my first oil change I had the dealer update the media center (430) in hopes that I could use my Android Global 2 Verizon phone with the Uconnect. Also, I wanted to finally see the lights in the door storage bins. So, to make a short story shorter, they said the lights were there but too dim to see and we could never get the phone to connect. But now my iPod doesn't play. The menu shows the tracts but there is no sound. Do I blame the Tea Party? Did I have too many Steve Earle songs? Any advice?

You might try clearing the user partition on the hard drive. I was having trouble with some tunes on my 730 (user error), cleared the partition and reloaded. Works fine since. Not sure where to do that on your 430, the option was in my disc management section of the menu.

Re: Now you hear it now you don't. iPod problem
Tried to reset everything I could find but although the tracks show up there is no sound and no indication that they are playing. The iPod itself works fine and was working through the aux before the update. Don't want to bring it back to the dealer over this, life being too short and all.

Now I hear it! Reset iPod to original factory specs and it now works fine.
