Cleaning under the hood.....

I have a recently bought 05 LTD and want to clean a bit under the hood. I have some de-greaser and some Armourall. What should I protect under the hood from water intrusion?

The CAI if you have one.

The PCM.

The fuse boxes.

Aftermarket Cold Air Intake

PCM. It's the box under the hood in the far back left corner with a bunch of wires coming from it.

^^^We have a vendor here that sells great products!!! PCM is the computer for your Jeep. IIt will be on the Firewall in the back left if your facing the Front of the Vehicle. You'll see wires plugging into it. Another thing is to cover your Alternator also!

Ive never covered anything but my cone filter and never had a problem. Of course the dirtiest my engine bay gets is a little dusty or water sprayed from the highway

Since taking off the HEMI cover, I've realized mine is in major need of a cleaning as well. Looks like cover the PCM, intake, and Fuses and we are good to go. Does the alternator really need covering? Maybe I'll throw something over the open holes in it just to be safe. I've heard simple green works well, spray on and let sit for a few mins and then hose off with a light spray of H2O. No power-washing!

Thanks guys for the info. There's a lot of sand and cooked bugs in nooks and crannies.

PCM and a CAI if you have one. You can cver the alternator for peace of mind but i lightly and quickly spray water after the degreaser set in.
