Rusty Hubs Already - any concern?

Yes, purely cosmetic, but I find the RUST already forming on wheel hubs of my WK2 to be disturbing.

The Jeep is a mere 2 weeks old!@

Any need for rust prevention here, or just let it go??

for the face, the part that the rotor rests on, smear a little anti seize or something. like around the studs. onthe studs too to keep lugs in good shape.

on wks, the rotor gets rusted right to the hub and terrible hard time getting them loose sometimes.

I took my wheels off and cleaned the rust up. The painted the hubs, clipers, and anything else that was exposed and rusy with black high heat engine enamel. Got a tiny bit of over spray on the rotors, no biggie it comes off the first time you get on the brakes and now iv got a nice clean line.

^^^^^ that too!

I used the stuff that turns rust black. and done/

Yea, once you clean it up right and paint it, using the breaks wears it off wherever you got it on the rotor and it gives you a perfect line. Its night and day how the clean black clipers and hubs look behind my black rims verses the rusty shit before. I love it

Be careful putting grease or anti seize or whatever on the threads. It can affect the torque and cause it to be too tight. Not saying I've never done it myself; just be aware.

I've got the same problem with my 3 week old Jeep! I am used to seeing rotors rust if not moved for a few days but not the "top hat" part that is painted grey. I can't believe that I am going to have to paint rotors on a new vehicle, guess I've got a weekend project to do.
