Interesting defect from factory

Hello all. Just bought an '11 Overland 5.7. The truck is AWESOME but came with an interesting flaw. After picking up the car I headed out to dinner with the wife and she noticed the front passenger scuff plate on the door trim said "Dodge." Naturally, the dealer replaced it, but it was strange to see... the driver's side said "Jeep," thankfully. The dodge piece is physically identical, so I missed it when I went over the car the first time. Just thought I'd share!

Someone else had that same issue, maybe it was the employee's that were out smoking pot and drinking that installed it.

I'm guessing it was from a Durango?

Dad once got a Dodge grill in a Plymouth.... cars built on same line, easy mistake to make. QC should catch but years ago you run out of a part, slap something on and fix it later...

My guess is those kickplates are dealer installed during PDI...I bet thats when the mistake was made.

There are some very helpful Jeep employees on this site, so those comments should be thought, but then not written!

Must be the ones making the comments live in glass houses?
