Bilstein Strut install question

2 Attachment(s)
I just got my Jeep back from the dealer where I had my Bilsteins installed...after looking closely...one of the front struts, at the bottom, where the bolt goes through looks bent slightly..not the strut itself. Just wondering if I need to be worried here? I tried to take a pic of the bent one compared to the straight one on the other side.

The dealer bent it?!?! Take it back on principle alone. You don't wanna lose any strength in the bolt or you could have potential problems later.

Looks like that small yellow tab on the strut is bent up a lil. Right?! Lol

Why wouldn't you just take it back? I wouldn't even spend the time to make a thread, if ones different then the other go back and demand they replace it.

yup..it's the little yellow thing..the tab thing that the bolt goes through...I bought the parts elsewhere, and had them do the work... thought I would take it to the dealer to have it done right! They also left the coolant tank unbolted...found the bolts under the hood! I do plan on going back but wanted to check here for some thoughts...

When I installed mine, I had to cut that tap. You shouldn't have any problems with it bent.

Regardless the dealer effed up w the coolant bolts too. Doh

And now you know - dealers tend to be lazy, clueless, mouth breathing scam artists
