5.7L HEMI Exhaust questions

I am desperately wanting to do the exhaust on my Jeep I just got. It's a 2005 5.7L.

I want to take TWO powersticks
(3" 3020SB 3" 3-1/2" 16" 21")
and put a y pipe after the flange for the muffler and run two 3" pipes to the back any way they will fit, weather I have to ditch the tire or not.

Does this sound good? Basically cut the muffler off and replace all the pipe to the back, starting with a Y pipe then one powerstick on each output then pipes made to the back with nice tips.

The only mods I have NOW are the superchips tuner and i run the 93 tune or whatever with the appropriate gas.

I will be adding a lift, bigger throttle body, nice air intake, new tires with wheel spacers and that's probably it that I can think of.

Let me know if I should go ahead and buy these two powersticks and bring it to a shop in CT.

Also, should I run 3" pipes or bigger ones from the powersticks to the back? Says the powersticks inside are 3".

Thanks again for your time guys!

Get a SRT Manifold with SRT Headers. Then your can have a true dual set-up. I have the SRT Headers, but I'm thinking of going a different route since I wanta Single Exhaust outlet not a dual.

3" is way overkill and will kill throttle response. Dual 2" is enough, 2.5" is heaps (and what I have)

That is SO not a requirement to have a"true dual" dude.......

So two of these would be better? With 2 1/2" pipes to the back with tips?
IN/OUT PART# CORE BODY DIA. BODY LENGTH OA LENGTH
2-1/2" 2520SB 2-1/2" 3-1/2" 16" 21"

2.5 inch is ample.

And from memory, yes, I think you will fit a pair of 21" long sticks int he space currently used by the large factory muffler.

You will need to check for yourself, its been 4 years since I was under there doing mine! lol

So what does everyone think? Will this be a nice little setup until I get money for major mods? I am thinking of just doing this, then the lift. Then when I can do heads and the other things do a whole new setup.

A Y pipe with two short powersticks and 2 1/2" pipes to the back with tips...

Anyone see issues? I'll be ordering the sticks tonight if all is a go!

Should be loud, especially with the 3.5" pipes to the back. Honestly 2.5" will be fine and much easier to fit.

Yeah sorry that was a typo on that last post.

Need a few more go for it's before I throw money at this.

Cut off muffler, Y pipe to two (2 1/2" In Diam.) (21" Overall length with ends) long powersticks then two (2 1/2") pipes to the back with tips.
