SRT Headers + Mid pipes + custom cat back dual exhaust = DONE

Man what a difference this has made to my WK 5.7L:eek:. I initially was going to do the work myself on the headers but some stuff came up and I didn't have the time I thought I would have. There is a real good exhaust shop right down the road that has done great work for my friends so I gave them a call. Well brought it in 2 days later its done. It sounds sick, butt dyno feels like it made improvements and now this sets me up for future engine mods. Best thing too is that there is no CEL =]

The main things needed to do this to your 5.7L is:
-SRT8 headers
-5.7L Gaskets(if you plan to keep the egr)/6.1L gasket (if you want to block it off) *I suggest using mopar gaskets as they are some of the best exhaust manifold gaskets out there*
-SRT8 Header bolts
-SRT8 Midpipes/Cats
-Cat-Back of your choosing

*If you plan on keeping the egr you will need to make an egr notch in the passenger side header.

Be warned there is virtually 0 room to work with. The shop even said they probably will never do this again  or charge double what they charged me. They also had to weld a few brackets and such but nothing major. They said the biggest pain was getting the log style headers off. The tow hitch came off to make room for the dual 5" tips.

Thanks to 555ctsv for the advice you helped a lot.

You beat me to it! I'm going to buy the Magnaflow Mid-Pipe with High Flow Cats also they are lighter too. Can you post up a video of it please! What kind of cat-back did you go with?

Its a custom bent cat back I bought off nifty97z for steal. Its got a magnaflow 12599 muffler with dual 3 inch piping running to 5 inch tips (no resonator)

I was weary of aftermarket mids because of emissions and through research people were saying the srt8 mids are pretty good.

Sweet.....I'll buy the SRT-Mids then and then go with something custome for a cat-back.

You have to post up a nice video and some more pictures!

Bah got a p0430 code...Hmmmm maybe the bank 2 downstream 02 got jacked up on the install as the other side is not throwing a code. I checked for exhaust leaks there wasnt any. Im going to throw a new 02 in the up and downstream. If that doesnt fix it I will try a non fouler.

Did they have to make any extensions for the O2 Sensors?
