Smoke on starting...???

Hi guys...i have a 2005 3.0CRD,i've just had the swirl motors replaced and the new design of TIK pipe.....all that seems to be running well, but now i'm having a hard time starting in the mornings,it only seems to happen when its been stood for a while.....starting from warm is fine, even upto 5-6 hours later. But in the mornings it takes 3-4 trys to get going, when it does eventually fire it emits alot of whitish smoke then when revved it emits a bit of black smoke.
Its only started to do this since the swirl motor was replaced along with the TIK pipe.......would this be related or a total seperate issue...????

Have any of you guys got a clue whats up with it.......????

Thanks in advance.....Karl

Not at all an expert... but my 08 will start no problem at -15 Celcius so that tells me something could be wrong with yours. It very well could be the new swirl motor was installed incorrectly. Could also be your injectors. Haven't heard of any injectors going on these yet though. Did you do the swirl motor yourself? Get the guy who installed it to take a look if not. Any codes? Once myn did not start (i think the fuel pump relay got stuck or something) and after i shut it off and tried again the engine light came on, but it started no problem.

nothing to worry almost all diesel cars smoke at startup (except those with particulate filter) if it smokes while driving then you have problems !

Check glow plug connections. White smoke is normal-condensation. Black smoke mean to much unburn fuel in th exaust. All normal for cold engine. And yes do not rev cold engine to much. It is not healty for the diesel engines.
