WK in for body work

It's only been a couple of weeks and the WK2 is in for body repair. 2 weeks ago I detailed the Jeep (Clay, Polish & Wax). Noticed that the drivers door was not aligned correctly. Bottom of door was sticking out about 1/4" from flush. Then stated looking at the door positioning and the whole door was tilted (the top had very little gap and the bottom hard quite a bit of gap.) This is all compared to the passenger front door. So got my lights out and found that the door had heavy color sanding marks with alot of hazing. Basically the color sanding had not been polished out. In fact the whole door had the wrong tint of white. At this point I'm pissed. Just got a 40K vehicle and the door has to be resprayed. Got with the dealer, It went to the body shop. 3 days later (yesterday) still no good. Needless to say mama is pissed, she wants her new car back, I want my truck back from her and out of this POS rental. So lets see what another 5-7 days will bring. Unfortunately a new paint job on a new car. This sucks. Sorry for the rant. We just want to enjoy the great Jeep that we bought.

Ugh, I can sympathize a bit!

On a prior car, we arrived at the dealer to take delivery. One of the guys in the prep area backed into the front quarter panel of our NEW car just before they rolled it out front for us! Dealer was slightly embarrassed :)

I did explain I wanted a FRESH quarter panel, vs a body-worked repair. He agreed.

Hope you get this addressed properly by the dealer.

It's back. FINALLY. I can honestly say that I would never recommend Boulevard GMC Collision Center to anyone ever. (I know not a factory center, but that's who the dealer is using). Not only did they not repair it the first time as ordered by my service manager, but they ran the car almost out of gas. It had 3/8 of a tank left with over 100 miles to empty when I dropped it off, when I picked it up the fuel light was on. #2 we now have ants in the car. How that happened is beyond me. But those are minor problems at least its back safe and sound at home.

Ants in the car? lmao maybe they ate lunch in it a few times:lol: or took it home a few nights that could be why its suddenly out of gas. A body shop shouldnt burn through that much gas moving it around. :slapfight:

Yeah it only had 5 more miles on it since I dropped it off. So it had to be either siphoned or just ran with the a/c on. I wish I would have logged the hour meter. The bottom-line is that these guys are just a bunch of a$$ holes. Oh well, it's over.
