Inside Wiring Question

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew the best place to tap into a constant on 12v wire. Basically I will be plugging in a module that needs power all the time and must be located in the inside of the vehicle. (It's a security module I want to add for extra protection). I saw a bunch of wiring under the passengers seat, but not sure which one to use. I even have a clip under there with 2 red wires in it not connected to anything. It just has a plastic cap on the end and it located in the front of the power inverter. I have no idea what that could be for except to power the TV I don't have.

Thanks!

Re: Inside Wiring Question

The battery is under the passenger seat via door, push the seat far forward and up to access. You can then tap a fused line directly to the battery.

Thanks moosehead. I thought about doing that too. I took my meter out and hooked it up to the clip I saw and sure enough, its hot with 12v. It looks like it stems right out of the wire going to the positive terminal. I need less than 1 amp (and that's peak) so I think this should work. I attached a picture just so everyone can see what I am talking about.
