A question about pedal kit

I'm thinking of getting a kit for brake and gas pedal but ran into this question.

I looked at the installation guide and it said I had to remove the brake pedal cover but not gas pedal cover. So, basically if I understand this right, new aluminium cover for brake Will replace the OEM cover but the cover for gas WILL COVER UP the OEM cover instead of replacing it.

Then, distance to gas pedal will shorten, right?

when you are installing the brake pedal pad, do not forget to heat it in hot water.:)

I've read threads about how much fun I can have with installing brake cover. Heat gun, hair dryer, soapy water, some sort of gel, boiling water and so on.:lol::lol: Oh, and brute force for about an hour or so.

I don't have heat gun and let's see how it goes.

Agree that the bright throttle cover makes no perceptible difference in the pedal feel.

As for the brake, I didn't use heat, lube or cutting slits. Just brute force and small screwdrivers to fold the edges at the back of the new brake pedal into place. It can be done working slowly around the edges.

But scraped knuckles are pretty well assured. Good luck!

I have them on for more then 2 weeks now, took me 2 minutes and small screwdriver to put them on. NO PROBLEM AT ALL. :D
