Jeep died on me today

Driving down the street, she just died. RPM's flickered just before. Did the key dance and got p0320,p0700 and p1299. While trying to start was just getting pure gas out the exhaust. Codes point to a CPS problem and something with the TCM. Can anyone shed more light on this?

you could have been just running bad gas?

Re: Jeep died on me today

Cam or crank position sensor. If one or the other go bad it will not run.

Crank position sensor is what I'm leaning towards.

Mario, thanks man I'll let ya know!!

Bad gas wouldn't cause someone not to get spark.,.,which is what's happening if I got it coming out the exhaust pipe.

Got new crank position sensor from Dealer ($63).,.,gonna do it later (kids got a soccer game :) ) I'll try to remember to take pics and get a lil write up for those that encounter the same issue later but it looks pretty straightforward.,just wish I didn't have to remove starter :(

Re: Jeep died on me today

Thanks for the support dreamer.,., unfortunately I fell beat right now. Removal of the starter was a bit challenging with hand tools but I got it. Didn't remove it from the Jeep, just moved it aside (the solenoid connections are still on, just removed the mounting bolts) The solenoid bolt wasn't too troublesome either but the damn solenoid would not come out.,.,space is very limited and with my big hands.,.,.,well you know. I kept rocking the solenoid back and forth as the FSM states.,.,.,then it happened.,,.,.,.,.,.,.,., THE DAMN THING BROKE OFF!!!!!!! I almost lost it!!!! I gave up for tonight.,.,I need a breather and will hit it tomorrow morning.

I need more than just hand tools.,., thinking about getting the garage piped up for air tools.

For now, I invited a couple friends over to hang out.,.,.,Mr. Bacardi and Mrs. Coke ;)

I'll let ya know how it goes tomorrow.,., Later folks

It fought me all the way.,.,worked on it for almost 5 hrs before I got it out.,.,replaced the sensor, re-installed the starter and she still doesn't work :(

Placed her on a flat-bed this morning.,.,gonna put my tail between my legs and let someone else figure it out.,.,lol

On the flatbed:
