Creaking noise from driver seat where the lumbar support is...

2 weeks into my new GC Overland and I have to say this the best Jeep to date but it isn't without some bugs which I plan to get in for within the next week or two.

So far I need the tires rebalanced from what I can see being I get the vibration through the steering wheel over 55 mph.

Thud feeling in the wheel I noticed right away. As soon as I read the TSB report I knew I had that problem.

My front passenger door toward the top edge that meets the back door is almost pulled out almost 1/3 of a inch.

The last thing is something I wanted to ask if anyone else is experiencing. I noticed that i get a creaking sound when I move my back front to back around the lumber bag area it squeaks and creaks like crazy. I tried moving the lumber up and down and even filled it up more and emptied it as well. Still get it like the leather is rubbing against the bag or something. Anyone else else hearing this? I can actually feel it when it does it. Starting to bug me since I started paying more attention to it and moved around in the seat with the Jeep off with no noise which is when I realized how creaky it really is.

Let me know your thoughts on that.

I test drove an Overland that had the shake in the wheel. Sounds like it needed a TSB performed.

After searching this forum about the shaky wheel its seems to be a wheel balance issue. HOPEFULLY, thats the case. No fun driving on the highway when the wheel starts to shake the faster I go past 60 MPH.

Here's the passenger door compared to the driver side.

I had the same problem, my dealer took the seat back off and found plastic rubbing against something in the seat back, fixed and no longer hear the noise.

Thats good news. Hopefully, mine is a simple fix like that.

I have the same lumbar squeak/pop noise. It seems if i don't have it filled enough, the bag makes the noise when i move front to back, like if i were accelerating or braking hard. Getting annoying and thinking about taking it into the dealer.

MikeD, any more information on what they found rubbing? I might try to do this myself if it is a simple fix to move something around.

The door fix is probably an easy adjustment but hard to believe it could get through quality inspection at the factory. :brows:

Found the service ticket,it states "plastic inside seat rubbing on lumbar metal bar, repositioned plastic inside seat."

I have the same issue with my seat. I haven't had a chance to take it in yet.

I'm surprised it passed QC too. Funny part was in my rear wheel wall area one of the push rivets was falling out. I picked it up walking around the Jeep when I bought it how could they miss that as well as the door alinement. Both very obvious in my opinion. Thats what I get for a Monday build. I'm planning to get it in today if possible to get all this fixed.
