Hairline crack found on inner SRT Replica

I noticed that my tire was low and checked the PSI. It read 20psi. I'm surprised the tire pressure sensors (seperate problem) didn't pick it up. I though ok, I must have a nail in my tire. Tires are new with roughly 5K miles on them.

I jacked up the Jeep and put it on jackstands sprayed soapy water on the tire tread to find the air leak. I didn't find it. What I did find was a hairline crack on my rim, with a very small pit on the inner rim edge. I'll be calling Quadratec and looking into this more. Dang!..any helpful advise is welcome...:madhttp://farm7.static.flickr.com/6068/...2631c338_z.jpg

No, I only have about 300 miles on this rim. I've been using my stock rims/tires pretty much all summer.

I emailed the company and customer service apologizied and is looking into it. The representative isn't sure if my rim is still covered under warranty since the wheels have been mounted and driven. He stated that he will speak to his manager.

WTH?? So there is no warranty if you mount the wheels and drive? What are you supposed to do with them, hang them on your garage wall for decor?

Check out what happened to my friends Sport Edition brand wheels from Tire Rack. He hit a pot hole and busted the two wheels on the same side, they both split in half all the way around. He said it wasn't much of a pot hole. I have never seen a wheel fail like this, let alone two of them. Makes me glad I left the Sport Edition winter wheels on my first Overland when I turned it in. He is returning them to Tire Rack to see if they will replace them but it's doubtful because he did hit the pot hole.
