Replacing interior lights in WJ

Hey, have a few questions..

I am seeking to replace my interior lights in my 2001 WJ Laredo..

I've been looking around and researching but still unsure about LED/VLEDS, and as I don't really know about electronics(escp in cars), do I need to get some other devices for the current.. and what not.. I think if I list em in a list it'll be better?

What socket types would I need if I changed from the regular bulbs? I believe they are 194's at the moment..

Do I need to modify any of the stock wiring to hook up the LED's/VLED's?

I'm just looking for a white light.

Also, is it possible to change the light's behind the "map/upper headunit[where the STEP/MENU thingy is] from green to white?

I do know where to get the LED's though! Flashtech ftw?

:headbang:

Oh, there's more than a few 194's in there.

906 is the footwell/under dash (can be a 194)
4410 festoon bulbs are the ones in the assist handles above the doors, and your rear cargo area.
192 is your dome/reading, and your glove box. 194's fit fine in these too.

If all you did was replace bulbs, an leave the cargo one stock, you'd be fine.

If you replace them all with LED (which is what I did) you'll need to add a resistor to one of the fixtures. I did my cargo area. Removed the fixture, cut the incoming power wire, and spliced in a resistor. Everything works perfectly.

As for changing the display color in your EVIC, good luck! That I have no idea on...
