Australian Orders - Overland Trim Discrpancy

A Word of Warning To All Australian Overland Buyers.......

On advising my Overland will be ready tomorrow, my dealer said it looked great (as is the norm for all dealers) as it was the first WK2 Overland they had received that was not fitted with the Limited Sicilian Elm trim (light wood). He said there have been many Overland owners who have been surprised / angry they did not get what was spec'd in the brochure / website. The dealers are copping the flak with Jeep Aust showing no interest.

Overland's should have the Black Olive Ash Burl Wood (dark wood).

If you're expecting Black Olive, I suggest you get on to your dealer and check the fate of your trim.

Personally I was always expecting the dark wood, I have just had a long stint with a Prado with light wood trim and I'm looking forward to the change.

Seem there is more to this than a production line oversight.

My dealer informed me of the change a few weeks into the order back in march.
The new Oz brochure states in small writing black burl only in overland CRD.

So I can expect to receive the Black Olive wood in my Overland CRD??

Given that mine has not been built yet I would rather address this now than wait and be disappointed with something other than what I ordered... Just a personal thing but I hate the light coloured wood...

I'm wondering about the Saddle Interior though, isn't that supposed to have the Black Burl wood?

(Mine's an MY12 Hemi with Saddle, so hoping for the black wood but not holding my breath)

I have the saddle/black in mine, but was told it would most likely have the cherry wood As advised by the state rep. But looking at the new Brochure I would think it is the medium burl wood

So the black real wood is suppose to be standard in Australia? Are the now putting the limited fake wood in or the normal overland real wood (USA)?

My CRD that will be ready on Friday will have Black wood, but the Hemi Overlands will continue to have the brown wood.
My dealer informed me when I was ordering, as I was expecting the Brown wood in my car, but was happy to find the Overland CRD's come with the black wood.

Suggest you email your dealer and ask the question, make your he / she responds by email that way you'll have some peace of mind particularly if you have a long wait ahead of you.
