brand new 2012 needs wheel alignment

FYI 2 weeks and 200 miles later 2012 limited needed a full wheel alignment. front and rear wheel caster, camber, toe in and toe out adjustment. during the 2 weeks of driving i noticed the car was pulling to the left big time.

took the car to a performance shop utilizing a hunter digital alignment system and watched every step to make sure nobody bs'd me. (i was in the business 30 years ago and i know what goes on) as soon as the machine started to analyze i saw the condition's.

it might be a good idea for all to have the alignment checked either by the dealer or independently, $100 bucks seems worth the trouble if you have to pay for it yourself. the dealers don"t seam to be interested in the proper prep of a new car

car rides 100% better without any drag or pulling. probably saved tires from premature wear.

My 2011 was out of alignment too. I could tell because the steering wheel was not straight when the wheels were straight. I thought they had a TSB on the alignment.

The alignment was out on my '11 as well, didn't notice until steering wheel went crooked and my tires started feathering on the outside edges. I now have a 2800 mile Jeep with worn tires, unacceptable.

Too bad. But how can most come off the aligned properly and some not?

The way they are transported.

There is no reason for such lack of attention after assembly. The transporters are making Chrysler look bad.

How's that?

I had the same issue here. The vehicle drove straight but was showing excessive wear on the outer edge and feathering on both tires (@ 4,000 miles). The alignment rack indicated excessive toe out. The dealer alignment tech adjusted the toe under warranty.

Hmm, My 2011 is pulling slightly to left as well, tyres are starting to scrub, I will get checked out at next service, think I read someplace that one wheel alignment is included under warranty.... better be cause I ain't paying for it on a brand new car......

I would to taken my GC back to the dealership and told them to fix the problem. It's their responsibility to fix it since it's all under warranty. Now you're out a hundred bucks.

it"s not a question of the money it"s making sure it"s done and done the right way, seeing it being done is a lot better than being told it was done. most dealer service shops think customers are stupid and will believe anything.

next time you are at the dealer service center listen to the service writers talking to customers, selling a line of bs at ridiculous prices.

Had the same problem. Dealership was a joke. They said they fixed it. Had to do it myself in the garage.

Rear toe was out exactly the same amount on each side causing rear steer.
