Halogen fog light replacement

I'm going to be upgrading my hi/low beams sometime this week to Silverstar Ultras. I've ran them in my last 4 vehicles and have been very happy with the light output, never had a single one burn out either.

This is however my first vehicle with fog lights. I've read in other posts about the HID conversion and needing to remove the front bumper to do the swap, does anyone know if this is the case for swapping out the halogen bulbs too or is there an easier way?

Nobody knows, really?

I would almost say that you would want to leave the fogs alone. If you put HID in fog lights, then they cease to be a fog light, and just a really low mounted headlight....

So when it's actually foggy and you need to use them you won't get the light you need to cut through the fog, then, huh?...

I'm not planning on putting HIDs in, just a 'whiter' bulb.

Let us know what you end up going with, and pics too!

I will as soon as someone lets me know if I have to remove the bumper to get to them! lol. Owners manual says you don't need to but I don't see how unless I'm overlooking something.

to get to the fogs? no bumper removal at all. reach behind the wheel wheel and look. you can see the fog right there.

i think thats for the head light if i'm not mistaken unless theres one lower down near the fog light, i have really looked at it. However the Foglight also is a weird bulb number and isn't easily replaceable by silverstar bulbs from what ive read else where

I'm not aware of any brighter replacement incandescent bulb for the application.

Oh, lovely. I just assumed there would have been something out by now. Guess I'll have to dig a little deeper..
