Flipper glass unlocks on it's own

I've been encountering an issue for about 3 weeks now where, when the Jeep is unlocked, the flipper glass will unlock on it's own. I can actually hear the latch actuate usually once, but sometimes it's 2-3-4 times in a row.

When the Jeep is locked I don't have this issue.

I did a quick google search and couldn't find anything related to the 2011/2012 Grand Cherokees.

Wondering if anyone has encountered this?

I'm going to book an appointment with my dealer to have this looked at because it's driving me nuts.

I don't have that issue ...sounds like a relay issue. I don't see any tsb that applies...say It's dealer time....

yes i have the same issue. I have already gone to the dealer and they replaced the actuator. I was ok for few days, but has started up again.
I cant seem to make it happen when I want, but it is happening. I would like to hear what your dealer does. I am not thrilled with mine, the trim panels were left loose.

I've never ever used the flipper glass. It's just too high up and I can't really reach inside to grab anything.

I'm going to have them fix it on Sept 27th, but if like you the issue continues, I'm going to disconnect it and be done with it.

Possibly the button on the fob sticking?

Sounds like it could be a loose wire. Your dealer should be able to find the problem.

I use the flipper all the time. It works well for placing and removing items inside quickly. Also very handy for transporting long lengths of lumber.

I'm hoping they don't pull a "We can't reproduce the problem" BS. I will let you all know what they say when I bring her in on Sept 27.

no dice. the key fob buttons are not the issue. It did it with the spare key.I am starting to now feel the rage.... Nothing worse than having to get out of the vehicle during a downpour to close the glass. I have noticed once I reclose the glass it doesnt reopen while in motion.Just that one time after vehicle is started(random)

It can not open while in motion, even if you wanted it to. I would still bet on a loose wire or connection.
