The Way Our WK2's are Shipped via Rail

Here is a little clip of how our cars are handled when unloaded from the rail car.

No wonder cars are put to storage during transit and repaired and sold as new! LOL

I guess they have bridges in between each box car and it becomes one long runway to exit out the end of the rail...

I am sure there is a small margin of accidents that occur. Looks like they are already broken before we get them. :D

LOL, and some members baby their new cars with 5-8 miles on the odo when they have been manhandled before getting into their hands. Floored out of the rail cars.

I had no problem with my car having 50 mile on the odo, since it was a traded with another dealer. As long as it didn't have scratches...

I bet it's a contest with these rail workers, who can drive them out the fastest. How fast you think they are going? My guess is about 30.

It kind of looks like they are are on some kind of track system like at the car wash and not actually being driven.....hmmmm

If they are going that fast inside the box cars, how fast do you think they are going when they get out into the open and to their designated parking spot?

Meh, while it looks fast, it's really not. These guys do this all day every day, and very seldom is there an issue.

Surely we can't expect them there to be guiding eachother out? lol..... If it fits, it fits!

The rattling of the ramps makes it sound violent and the camera angle helps with the sensation of speed.

watched it again, it is not slow by any means for having maybe a foot of clearance on each side.

either way, they do this for a living and most cars suffer no damage

I used to work near one of those rail yards and watched them unload rail cars from time to time. The choreography in the parking lot was entertaining. The precision of the driving was impressive. Looked like a dare devil show at times. Never a scrape, rarely squealing tires. You damage a car you're fired, if you are too slow off loading you're fired... these guys/gals can drive.

I think it's pretty cool! As long as my Jeep isn't damaged, I could care less.
