Gear change?

Still thinking about a 4.0 2wd Grand to replace my Grand caravan sport.

Watching e-bay and "borrowed " the vin on a couple to check equipment on a vin decoder site.

Found they come with 3.73 gears.

Wonder what would happen if one went 3.23 or even 2.97.

With the o/d transmission i would think the 3.23 would improve mpg and drivability on a street driven jeep 2wd.

Any idea on lowering kits to match 17" lower street tires.

With a 4.7 maybe but with a 4.0 you're a little too under powered for that imo.

+1

Going with a smaller gear would make the already sluggish 4.0L even worse.
