Oem HID Projector headlight issues

Has anyone else ha this issue? I did the how to install on the oem hid projectors provided by Scott. (Scott was a HUGE help btw thanks) I have had them in for a couple of months and I'm running into a issue... On the riverside headlight it will flicker once in a while when I'm driving. And once went completely out. I swapped the lights and it was still out so I checked the fuse on the relay and it was corroded so I put in a new fuse problem fixed. A few weeks ago I noticed it started flickering again and this morning it was flickering bad then went out. So when I got to work I checked the fuses again and they are not corroded, but it looks like they are melting? As shown in the pic below. Anyone else have this issue? Or does anyone know what could be causing the problem? http://tapatalk.com/mu/a68989d0-5fcf-de76.jpg

dan i would get 2 relay HARNESSthat are rated ABOVE the load the headlights are pulling.
the relay is getting too hot and melting.......

I have the ones from Xenon Depot. Do you know if they are able to handle the load.

ive used the XD relay harnesses from day one...and the only problem i had was on the passenger side foglamp...the relay switch got wet. Never any problem with the headlights. Could the harness have went bad or gotten wet?

Re: Oem HID Projector headlight issues

I don't see anywhere that the harness got wet. Xenon Depot is sending me 2 new relays. If you remember from before when we talked one relay they sent was bad. So it could be the relays. Would the ballast be the cause of this if it is going?

Re: Oem HID Projector headlight issues

I dont think the ballast would cause that

I use self resetting fuses on my harness, look into them, well worth it.
My Camaro used to burn my harness but that's because I ran to much power (100w) on a 55w harness. Any bare metal contacting the vehicle?

I'm sorry I'm not sure what you mean by bare metal touching vehicle. I have the ground connected to the bolt in the fender. Just like Scott did in his how to.

I bet a new relay harness will fix it

sent from my HTC EVO

Lol I meant that maybe there might be wire exposed from your harness and it might be contacting causing it to burn up. Do what Scott suggested, a new inexpensive harness. I am fed up with my hid lights!

Ohhh I gotcha I didn't see any wires exposed. I put in 2 new fuses and hope that works till the new relay harnesses get here. I'll put those in, and hopefully that will work.
