Help... Rubbing - 2010 WK with 2011WK 20" Stock Wheels

Ok, I'll apologize up front if this has been beaten to death.... couldn't find anything on it.

I'm usually smarter than this... got sucked in by a great deal... now can I use them?

These are OE 20" 2011 WK Limited wheels, 265/50r20 Tires.... they rub the upper control arm .... Is there an easy fix... do spacers work? who else has similiar experience. What can I do????

Thanks

Tom  :o

i run 255/50 on my 07 with viper reps and no issues.

is it rubbing the bottom of the ball joint? the bolt we can see in the pic?

you can TRIM that a small bit. you need to be able to ge t wrench on it if you ever need to disconnect it so you casn trim it a little.

yeah you COULD cut that a little. just make sure to leave enough to get a open end or box wrench on whats left so can get a good grab and you would be fine.

What do you think about spacers? an option? are they safe? or just trim the bolt??? it seems to roll, though I only have 2 on, the other side is back to stock.

i had spacers, they arent good unless you get hubcentric ones and they cost money. mine caused a slight wobble.

places like discount tire wont touch a vehicle with spacers.

To see if they'd trade tires or spacers... until you said they won't touch spacers... I don't know what to do?!?!?!

may just need a shorter sidewall tire. Theres a couple other members on here with 2011 20" wheels on 05-10 Jeeps

as scott said, you need different tires. they have way too much sidewall on them

I hear ya... I just hate that all the research that i did, was ALMOST right... now I gotta sell these tires, and buy more..... the second kick is that Discount Tire only offered me 35.00 each for the un-driven on tires that I have.... oh well

Thanks for all the input and guidance guys!

Tom
