radar detector install

Hi, has anyone mounted valentine1 radar using blend mount under the rear view mirror on their 2011 GC overland summit. Was it easy? Which part number ?
Thanks.

This is how I mounted mine, its a mount from a vett that I modded to fit my WK, I'm sure with some bending you could fit it in a WK2, myself and Rob have them, if you look at my thread about my V1 install there is a link to it.

The blendmount would not fit in my 2011 Overland due to the tight spacing between the post and mirror. I believe it has only worked on the smaller Laredo or pre-2011 Olands. YMMV.

Get a SOLO 3 .. newest battery detector on the planet! works 100%! same battery 6 months.. and it's full charge.

Let's go shamelessly promote a garbage product. Comparing a piece of shit cordless detector to the V1 is silly. If you want the best get the V1 or the STI-R+

Or for trolls. I'm a member of the east coast counter measure test group from radardetectorforum.net and I'm passing along the info to our members that the product your pushing is one of the worst detectors on the market along with cobras, I hope you didn't spend money on one, save up for a V1

So I guess it's out of hand to think to purchase a Passport 9500ci instead of a V1?

Crestwood1001 09-20-2011 07:47 AM

The passports are just about equal performers with the V1, but once you try a detector with the arrows you will never go back, iv got the V1 and a redline for testing and can't go back from the V1, it make a huge difference when you don't have to be look all around for the source
