Removing seats

So I removed my passenger seat without disconnecting my battery and had to go to the dealer to get them to turn off my airbag light. They wanted THREE hours labor ($112 per hour) to "recalibrate the seat"!! Anyone else ever do this? What did the stealer charge you?

This is crazy

Sure you have everything plugged back in good? I have had my drivers seat out twice and never disco'd the battery with no issues.
Maybe try unhooking the battery for a bit?

Re: Removing seats

In the Jeep, i know i had a loose connector under my drivers seat for the airbag. Airbag light came on, reseated the connector, restarted the car and it cleared.

It should clear itself if everything is actually alright.

passengers seat is different. my body shop disconnect my seat when doing some work and had to have it recalibrated. the price is correct, it is an expensive lesson for you to learn. always disconnect the negative terminal when doing any work involving the vehicles wiring.
